Born and raised in Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Art from Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont, Vesce was inspired by the beautiful scenery of Long Island Sound. Exposed to both Asian and Western Art in her parents' home and the impressionist paintings of the Old Lyme Colony nearby, her vision was shaped by various influences.
After marriage, she moved with her husband to Metairie, Louisiana, just outside New Orleans, where they lived for more than 10 years. There she was inspired by the light, and the vivid vegetation of the lakes and bayous where she canoed with her husband. The colors and activity of the festivals also inspired her.
Vesce enjoys working in oil paint, watercolors and etchings. Now she is delighted to live in the beautiful mountains of Appalachia and is a proud member of the Appalachian Spirit Artists. She hopes that her paintings will inspire people to look at their environments more carefully, and that her paintings will give people a sense of peace and tranquility in this hectic world we live in.
