AppalachianSpirit Artists—Ned Johnson, CiCi
Brown Vesce, Duane Cregger, Avery Cornett, Sylvia Richardson,
David Fields, Tracy Thompson, William Fields, Marilynn Peacock,
Terry Hayden and Suzan Sukle—invite you to view our work at the Appalachian Spirit Gallery on the corner of Main and Sheffey Street in Marion, Virginia.
Paintings range from traditional to
impressionist, landscapes to landmarks, oil to acrylic, digital gicl'ee and
mixed media. An array of jewelry design, wood creations, stained glass, fused glass, and
fabric art, is also on display. Music on the porch begins at 6pm
on the second Friday of each month.
Our mission is to celebrate the arts,
traditions, lore, and spirit of the Appalachian Mountains and showcase the work
of local talent. The building was once the home of Lola Poston, the
artist who painted the large murals in the Lincoln Theatre. The Gallery also provides tourist information and guided history walks.
Gallery hours
are Monday through Thursday from 12 noon
to 5pm;
other times by appointment (276-759-3890) or whim.
